The 31-year old center, who has averaged 12.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and three assists so far after five games, has been the soul of her team leading their charge on offense and on defense as well.
AS Vita defeated local rival CNSS 73-43 in their Quarter-Final tie at the Maxaquene Stadium.
"FROM THE ONSET, WE WANTED TO WIN THIS GAME AND MAKE IT TO THE SEMI-FINALS. WE KNOW CNSS FROM THE LEAGUE BACK HOME AND THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY WE WERE GOING TO ALLOW THEM TO BEAT US. I AM HAPPY WITH THIS WIN TODAY."
She told FIBA.basketball that their main objective is to go all the way to the top and that this victory is an example of what they can achieve with team work and hard work.
"From the onset, we wanted to win this game and make it to the Semi-Finals. We know CNSS from the league back home and there was absolutely no way we were going to allow them to beat us. I am happy with this win today."
AS Vita will take on five-time African champions InterClube from Angola in their Semi-Final tie on Saturday.
"We know that they are very experienced at this stage but basketball is the same. We shall come out strong and look to win the game and make it to the Final," she added.
Tourbillon BC is the last Congolese side to win this continental tournament dating back to 1989 when they defeated DUC from Senegal in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire.
