    Zouita named FIBA Africa Champions Cup 2017 MVP, headlines All-Star Five

    RADES (FIBA Africa Champions Cup 2017) – With an impressive performance which led to his team, Association Sportive Sale of Morocco winning the FIBA Africa Champions Cup for the first time in the club history, forward Abdelhakim Zouita was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and also made the All-Star five list.

    Zouita had an average of 13.9 points per game and a total of 111 in eight games as the Coach Said El Bouzidi side won the title with a 7-1 record.

    AS Sale Abderrahim Najah, Mohamed Harat of Groupement Sportif Petroliers of Algeria, Omar Abada of Etoile Sportive Rades and Evariste Shonganya of Union Sportive Monastir completed the All-Star five.

    Harat also won the highest scorer award, Shonganya the best rebounder and Wayne Arnold of AS Sale with the best three-point award as City Oilers of Uganda won the fair play award.
